Dal 1° luglio 2023 il ramo d’azienda comprendente tutte le attività di vigilanza e sicurezza della cooperativa è stato conferito nella nuova società Istituto di Vigilanza Coopservice S.p.A., controllata al 100% da Coopservice.
L’operazione si inquadra in un Piano Strategico sfidante che prevede ingenti investimenti nel quadriennio 2023-2026 per garantire lavoro e sviluppo in un settore, quello della Security, divenuto sempre più difficile e competitivo.
In over 40 years of experience in the private security sector, we have developed a comprehensive range of security and surveillance services that effectively meet the many and varied needs of our customers, protecting their property and business from the risks of intrusion, theft, robbery, fire and technological breakdowns.
In order to ward off and prevent the threats of increasingly insidious crime, we have equipped ourselves with the most modern and advanced technologies and employ motivated and professional security guards and other security operators, the result of rigorous selection and continuous theoretical and practical training.
A virtuous integration of men and technology, which gives rise to the quality of our security services: more than 2,200 security guards, 800 security operators, 30,000 alarm systems connected, 60,000 customers, 7,000 vehicles under satellite control, 2,600 supervised bank counters, more than 400 patrol cars and operating vehicles.
Our armed security guards provide the following services:
- guarding companies, public institutions, healthcare facilities, shopping centres and outlets, museums and places of art, and other organisations;
- anti-robbery surveillance inside and outside banks and credit institutions;
- anti-shoplifting surveillance in shops and shopping centres;
- day and night surveillance of neighbourhoods, homes, businesses, commercial activities, craft and industrial areas; televigilance and emergency intervention in the event of an alarm;
- video surveillance with control of images from cameras and alarm management;
- remote control of technological installations and intervention in the event of malfunctioning;
- complementary security services in ports, airports and transport in general;
- satellite tracking of vehicles and management of emergency situations;
- transport and escort of valuables in armoured vans;;
- ATM management;
- concierge services.
The 10 operating centres in the area are active 24/7 for the prevention and management of security emergencies: remote monitoring, video surveillance, satellite control of fleets, monitoring of technological systems, support for security guards on duty.
wo operating centres have obtained UNI 50518:2014 certification for Remote Surveillance Centres, proving the high level of efficiency of the systems.
We provide security services directly in 7 regions through our 21 operational centres located throughout the country, and throughout Italy, as a Network, thanks to a dense network of security companies that have an agreement with us pursuant to art. 115 of the Consolidated Law on Police.

Our manned security service is provided by security guards on a radio link with our operations centre, monitoring access routes from a fixed post. When needed, they inspect the facility outer limit or inside area for intrusion signs.
Our robbery prevention service is targeted specifically to banks and post offices and is provided by security guards on a radio link with our operations centre. They monitor the outside of the building to prevent all possible risks and impede criminal attacks.
The manned surveillance service with the help of canine units is carried out by one or more sworn special guards who, in constant radio link with the operations centre, control the entrances to a structure from a fixed location and occasionally inspect the perimeter or interior of the structure to check its integrity, using the dog (specially trained). Canine units can also be used at airports, ports and in railway and metro stations.
Our shoplifting prevention service is targeted to shopping centres, supermarkets and hypermarkets. It is provided by security guards that use CCTV remote surveillance systems to monitor the shopping floor during opening hours to prevent product loss or damage.
Every day our security guards inspect customer premises for anomalies to avoid criminal acts or simply restore proper security conditions after a failure or omission.
Our intrusion response service is guaranteed every day of the year by mobile security guards on a radio link with our operations centre. They intervene when an alarm is received from a facility that has a security system installed.
This service provides real-time remote control of all kinds of alarm systems. It is managed 24/7 by Coopservice’s operations centres in permanent interaction with fixed monitoring posts, mobile patrols and local fire-brigade and police forces.
The sophisticated systems of video surveillance services managed by the Coopservice operations centers are at the highest level of technology permitted today in the field of remote security management, activating targeted and timely intervention procedures in cases of emergency.
Aimed at businesses, public bodies, shops and private individuals, this service, provided through Coopservice’s operations centre (among the most advanced ones in Italy), permanently monitors the optimal operating parameters of all kinds of installations.
Relying on the GPS satellite system, our operations centre tracks the geographical position of vehicles, motorcycles, boats and people. Customers, too, can locate their vehicles online so as to control and optimize the management of their fleets.
The transfer of valuables from one place to another is carried out by carefully recruited security guards using armoured vans protected by satellite radio location systems. Operations are ensured by a computerized system that can keep track of them all in real time.
The reception, safekeeping and return of valuables entrusted to Coopservice for safe custody are carried out within secure premises protected by active and passive security systems. All management procedures are tracked and documented to allow the valuables held in custody to be identified and located at all times.
This service is provided mainly to credit institutions and large supermarket chains. The counting and handling of money and processing of cheques are carried out under conditions of maximum safety by Coopservice personnel using state-of-the-art hardware systems and dedicated software tools.
Aimed at credit institutions, this service is supplied by Coopservice security guards in permanent interaction with our operations centre. Its purpose is to maintain the ATMs of credit institutions in good working order and replenish their cash supply.
In compliance with Italian Ministerial Decree no. 85 of 29th January 1999, complementary security services in airports should be provided with security guards specifically trained and equipped for the following tasks: controlling incoming and in-transit passengers; performing radioscopic or other checks on hand and stowed baggage, goods and express-delivery parcels. All these services must be provided under direct supervision of Airport Police, who are responsible for overseeing the exercise of public authority.
In compliance with Italian Ministerial Decree no. 154 of 15th September 2009, complementary security services at sea and inland ports should be provided with security guards specifically trained and equipped for the following tasks: surveillance of owned or licensed assets; protecting corporate assets and on-board personnel equipment; performing radioscopic or other checks on goods, hand baggage and delivery parcels.
In compliance with the provisions of Ministerial Decree of the Interior of 15.09.2009 no. 154, the complementary security services within railway stations and their means of transport and depots, metropolitan railway stations and their means of transport and depots, as well as within urban transport lines are carried out with the use of specifically selected and trained sworn special guards (in accordance with the provisions of the circular of the Chief of Police of 26. 2.2015) and concern security activities including: surveillance of property owned or under concession, protection of company assets and property belonging to on-board personnel; radioscopic control, or with other types of equipment, of goods, accompanying baggage and courier packages.
Our security reception service is supplied by unarmed personnel. It chiefly consists in handling correspondence, controlling building access points, holding documents and keys in custody, carrying out system functionality inspections, welcoming customers and visitors and providing courtesy information.
In compliance with the provisions of the Ministerial Decree of the Interior of 8.8.2007, stewarding services are carried out by personnel in possession of the personal, physical, cultural and psycho-aptitude requirements as well as trained and instructed according to the provisions of the aforementioned decree.
